This semi-circular esplanade, 200m in diameter and with a canal along its perimeter, was designed by Aníbal González (1876-1929). The building that surrounds it comprises a long arcaded gallery framed by two 80m towers. It is decorated with azulejos, some of which depict episodes from the history of Spain's provinces. The site feels magical when lit up at night.
