These terraced gardens, covering 6ha, are composed of 13 natural scenes overlooking Terrasson and its valley. The novelty of the site lies in its guided tour. This takes you through the sacred wood with its blue and white waves that echo the colour of the town's stone and slate, the forest inhabited by elves and goblins, and the water gardens that you can cross with relish or trepidation as you dodge the jets. You can also admire the rose garden (2,000 rosebushes), a plant canopy rife with scents, a topiary garden and five cascading fountains that open onto a collection of irises. The greenhouse with a living wall, by architect Ian Ritchie, houses exhibitions.
