Maclay Gardens State Park
La Guía Verde
La opinión de la Guía Michelin
The gardens were created in 1923. In winter, more than 100 varieties of camellias offer a multicoloured spectacle, and in spring, it is the turn of azaleas, dogwoods, wisteria, mountain laurels and magnolia trees. In summer, the site is a cooling oasis of calm. Maclay House (20C), a former hunting lodge, overlooks a beautiful lawn that slopes down to Hall Lake, beyond which lies the wildest part of the park. Numerous outdoor activities are offered.
