La opinión de la Guía Michelin
This former cotton plantation (1,120 acres/450ha) was built for Andrew Jackson (1767-1845), military hero from Tennessee and 7th president of the Union. First built in 1821 in a Federal style, it was rebuilt in a Greek Revivalist style after a fire in 1836. The exquisite furnishings are original. The kitchen, gardens and slaves' quarters accurately depict what daily life on the estate must have been like. Andrew Jackson and his wife are buried in the grounds.
