Rosa Parks Museum
La Guía Verde
La opinión de la Guía Michelin
On 1 December 1955, Rosa Parks, a seamstress and secretary of the local branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), caused a scandal on a city bus by refusing to give up her seat to a white man. Her arrest, which led to the Montgomery Bus Boycott, gave birth to the Civil Rights Movement. Built in front of the bus stop where the incident took place, the museum pays tribute to this activist, who died in 2005.
