This is one of the city's most emblematic monuments. Photographed thousands of times, the oldest train station in the city, dating from 1910, is connected to the suburban train network that links up the sprawling outskirts of Melbourne. Recognisable by its ochre and yellow façade and monumental green dome, Flinders Street Station is famous for its row of old clocks above the main entrance; still today they display the train departure times.
