The "Bare-Foot Park" was designed to enable those walking in it to feel the energy of the planet. To do so, shoes have to be removed to tread on the sandpits set out between two small pools and a bamboo copse. Several café terraces line this space, where live music shows and cultural events regularly take place. On the esplanade is the Water Museum; modern and really well done, it is popular with children.
