This large white Buddha, sitting in a meditation posture at the top of a hill overlooking Kandy, was completed in 1993. Almost 27m tall, it is one of the most imposing statues on the island. From the terrace, you can take in a magnificent sunset over the city and the lake, surrounded by greenery.
