Kampot historic market
La Guía Verde
La opinión de la Guía Michelin
Kampot's "old market" was originally built by the French in the 1920s and turned into an exhibition hall in 1960 by architect Roger Colne. Since its last renovation in 2011, the market now only houses two rows of "modern" boutiques, real estate and travel agencies, cybercafés...The market used to be the town's centre during the French Protectorate period but is now more the historic (and tourist) centre of the town, with an abundance of very well-preserved 1910-1930s-era architecture.
