Leaving the traffic behind, you enter the beautifully tended gardens of this 18C villa, a reminder of the splendour of the “Golden Mile” and its luxurious residences. This golden age is now brought back to life in the kitchens of Josè restaurant, where Domenico Iavarone serves delicious cuisine inspired by the traditions of Campania, to which he occasionally adds his own imaginative twist. Browsing the menu, you’ll find many tempting options, often based on vegetables, including some excellent pasta dishes. In summer, a simpler menu featuring grilled dishes and pizzas is served in the villa gardens. The “Bourbon” wine cellar (as historic as the villa itself) houses an extensive wine selection, some also available by the glass.
