In the heart of the village on the market square, chef Charlotte Gondor and restaurant manager Maxime Zesir have opened this lively and appealing little bistro featuring a rather eclectic decor (wine posters, pepper mill, books on Normandy). The chef, who hails from the north of the Cotentin Peninsula and has previously worked in Paris (at L'Envie du Jour), creates delicious cuisine that is firmly rooted in tradition, which she brings up to date and even upends (with her beetroot dessert, for example). Seasonal ingredients, along with local and regional produce, underpin her dishes. The lunch menu changes daily, and at weekends there are plates for sharing, including the iconic rack of salt-meadow lamb.
