La opinión de la Guía Michelin
This place takes home-style cuisine up a notch with its "feinbürgerliche Küche". But soul food is also a very apt description of what is served in this gorgeous traditional restaurant in a desirable location in the old town. Sebastian Rösch delivers genuinely feel-good fare by combining his Franconian culinary heritage with Swiss influences. Options such as "Spätzle, Bergkäse, Périgord truffles" or "Zander from Lake Maggiore, goulash broth, Krautfleckerl (noodles with caramelised cabbage)" exemplify his ability to put a contemporary spin on traditional dishes. Premium-quality produce is always used. The "Brotzeit" (for two) is another interesting proposition. Diners can go à la carte or opt for the "Chef's Choice" set menu (with or without meat). The modern decor and relaxed ambience are reminiscent of a chic, trendy gastro pub; the courtyard terrace is also pretty. Extremely friendly waitstaff. Real passion has gone into curating the wine list – a fine selection of well-established names but also lesser-known or smaller winegrowers. On Wed they are also open for lunch (shorter menu). Tip for motorists: Parkhaus Urania is just a short (if steep) walk away.
