For no fewer than 22 generations, this establishment – once a farmstead, located below Schloss Tarasp – has been run by the Pazeller family. Not only does their delightful little hotel at an altitude of 1 450m have pretty, inviting guestrooms, but it is also home to an appealing dining concept. In the cosy Swiss stone pine-panelled interior, the four- to six-course "Bocca Fina" set menu is served in the evening, alongside à la carte dishes; at lunchtime, choose between a three- or four-course set menu and a rather extensive à la carte selection, including Engadine specialities. Dishes such as "bouillabaisse Chastè" and "beef fillet Wellington", or "Chastè ice cream soufflé with Grand Marnier", reflect the classic French and traditional style of the cuisine. Friendly and attentive service. From the terrace in front of the hotel, you can take in views of the surrounding mountains. Handy for motorists: private car park approximately 120m away.
