La Serre ("greenhouse") is surrounded by greenery and flooded with light – a wonderful backdrop for the excellent food prepared by chef Anthony Pierson. Devised by chef Arnaud Davin, the menu is replete with well-executed and perfectly cooked dishes, such as roasted John Dory, chard, rhubarb and its flavoursome sauce. There are a few creative touches such as the pomelo jelly on the spider crab. The results are delicious, the flavours shine through and the presentation is meticulous. The tables are set out in a magnificent greenhouse and the terrace is delightful in fine weather. Le Comptoir, in a second greenhouse, serves a tapas menu from Wednesday evening to Saturday evening.
