This popular place set right by the Goldenes Bründl cycle path basks in beautiful verdant surroundings. In summer, it is wonderful to eat alfresco on the terrace. The food is regional and made with excellent-quality seasonal ingredients, much of which comes sourced in the immediate vicinity. The dishes are straightforward and delicious – think "fried pike-perch fillet, chorizo-pumpkin risotto" or "Powidltascherl (Austrian dumpling), plum sorbet". As well as the à la carte menu, there is a three- to five-course set menu. The excellent wine list encompasses over 800 labels, with a particularly superb Austrian selection, although France and Italy are also well represented.
