Open since 2016, Ruffian continues to be a sleeper favorite among those in the know. The restaurant has two sides: one centered around a communal high-top and the other a cozy, intimate dining room. A tight menu evolves regularly to highlight flavors from across Eastern Europe, which is also the primary focus of an extensive wine program helmed by several passionate sommeliers. Past highlights include smoked trout mousse sandwiched between squares of lemon pound cake, warm Parker House rolls finished in a honey-nori glaze and sourdough dumplings set in a dark porcini broth. Reservations are certainly recommended.
