A few minutes from Praça Marquês de Pombal, you’ll find Salta, a restaurant that blends Asian cuisine with Central American flavours in an informal setting. Spread across three areas decorated in dark tones, the main floor looks onto the kitchen and a counter where creative cocktails are served. At the stoves is chef Tomaz Salema Reis who, after extensive international experience, returned to his homeland to showcase the flavours and techniques he picked up in the kitchens he passed through. Packed with bold, well-balanced flavours, the menu offers à la carte dishes to share, or three tasting menus: Vegan Experience, Chef’s Experience and Chef’s Experience “+”. One not to miss? The Soft shell crab Taco, combining the sweetness of pineapple chutney with the gently spicy kick of gochujang mayonnaise.
