In the countryside, in the Haut-Saint-François (Eastern Townships), this rustic farm is the joint venture of market gardener Yannick Côté and Chef Daniel Charbonneau (formerly of L'Empreinte in Sherbrooke). Chef Charbonneau welcomes the 15 or so guests per service on a covered patio equipped with a brasero, on which he barbecues skewers of venison, sweet onions, and artichokes in sauce diable, accompanied by a glass of local cider, talking guests through the cooking process. Once in the timber-decked dining area with its upcycled furniture, tuck into the single set menu that showcases produce from the local area and from this farm surrounded by market gardens. It's an experience to be savored as much for the food as for the inviting atmosphere and warm hospitality.
