Conceived as a tribute to the chef’s homeland, this restaurant boasts unrivalled views and is an outright invitation to savour the best of the Portuguese coast, with ultra-fresh fish and seafood displayed in the window of the open kitchen. Avillez’s signature menu, executed daily by chef Filipe Pina, presents dishes such as the flavourful Escabeche de fígado de bacalhau (cod liver in a vinegar‑marinade style), the Lombo de Corvina (sea bass loin) with olive oil and lemon—which shines without needing any other ingredient—the Polvo ao alho (garlic octopus) grilled over embers… The space, divided into two rooms and complemented by a welcoming terrace for summer days, combines elegant décor with maritime elements, such as an artistic mural and an impressive wooden sculpture of a giant ray.
