In summer, Verbier and the Val de Bagnes offer 400km of hiking trails. The famous Chamois Trail takes you through the Haut Val de Bagnes Nature Reserve, giving you a chance to see ibex, marmots and, of course, chamois. You will come to the Col Termin, then the village of Fionnay, after which you can return to Verbier by post bus. From La Chaux, where the cable car from Verbier makes a stop (allow for 6hr on foot; significant inclines).
