Classified in 1973, the 2,230ha-Grande Sassière Nature Reserve is equipped with major hydroelectric installations, such as Lake Sassière, which feeds the Chevril power plant, but has lost none of its beauty. Dominated by the Sassière (3,747m) and the Tsanteleina (3 6,5m) peaks, the reserve stretches from the Rhêmes-Golette glacier, to the Italian border and Grand Paradis National Park. A perfect opportunity to observe alpine flora and fauna.
