One can almost hear the romantic verse of Ronsard and the sighs of Cassandra, his muse, in the stately home of Talcy. On entering the main courtyard, visitors are charmed by its gallery and rose-decked well; further on are a 16C dovecot and 300-year-old wine press in working order. The gardens have been restored as a heritage orchard. The highlight is the building's interior which has remained entirely intact: 17C-18C tapestries and furniture.
