A long causeway crosses the shallow flats of the Great Salt Lake to the largest island in the lake, a 110km2 nature reserve. From the visitor centre, guests can hike, cycle or ride horses on 64km of trails. Besides antelope, the island is home to mule deer, bighorn sheep, coyotes, bobcats, upland game birds, waterfowl and bison descended from a late-19C herd.
