During the day, Sydney's business district teems with a compact crowd of white-collar workers. The CBD is rather quieter in the evening, when employees return to their suburbs. They are then replaced by a demographic of trendy youngsters scouring the fashionable restaurants and bars. The district has retained a few fine Victorian buildings, housing in particular St Andrew's Cathedral and Sydney Town Hall.
