Surrounded by moats and massive towers with lanterns, this imposing building has its overall appearance softened by the pinkish colour of its bricks. Its vast cour d'honneur, surrounded by five corps de logis (the most recent, to the right of the entrance, dates from 1735), forms an unexpectedly elegant whole. Some parts of the tour are free (galleries and attic); others are guided (Appartements de la Grande Mademoiselle). Take a walk about the 118ha landscaped gardens, which offer lovely views of the château.
