Housed in the pleasantly renovated former monastery, the Convento di Sant'Agostino, the museum presents papyrus's journey around the world and different documents in relation to the plant; visitors also learn about the manufacturing process and see various objects that were indispensible to scribes, ancient papyruses and objects produced using this material, from simple sandals to three sizeable boats.
