Nothing could be more melancholic than Sète's maritime cemetery, lit by the sparkling waters of the nearby Mediterranean. Peace and serenity reign in the final resting place of Paul Valéry (in the upper part) and Jean Vilar (in the lower part), two of Sète's favoured sons. But don't waste time looking for the tomb of Georges Brassens, who is buried in Le Py Cemetery.
