A fine example of a subak temple (the irrigation company that regulates and distributes water to the rice paddies). Northern Bali's colourful Baroque style is in evidence on the façade, strewn with winged mythological beasts. In the courtyard, shaded by frangipani trees are countless little roofless altars, unlike the meru which distinguish the other temples on the island, but which are also lavishly carved with floral motifs and demons.
