Left to the canton of Thurgovie by Empress Eugenie in 1906, Arenenberg contains works of art and furnishings, collected by its former owners, and in particular Queen Hortense, mother of Napoléon III. There is the magnificently furnished salon in period style, a library, bedrooms and boudoirs containing family souvenirs.
