Blaak underground and railway station (1993) was designed by H. Reijnders, and its distinctive roof consists of a huge, slightly tilted transparent structure. It is wedged between Binnenrotte market avenue, the library and its yellow pipes and the Pencil Tower (Het Potlood) that dominates the district.
