Ripoll Ethnographic Museum was founded in a bid to preserve a trace of disappearing rural trades and traditions. Its collections relating to palaeontology, clothing, ceramics, tools and musical instruments chart the history of Ripollès, chart the ways of life and beliefs of its habitants. The museum organises (by appointment), guided tours of the Scriptorium, a permanent exhibition on the medieval manuscripts copied by monks.
