Kamberg Nature Reserve, located south of Highmoor at the end of a horseshoe-shaped valley bordered by steep sandstone slopes, boasts some of the finest Bushmen rock paintings in the Drakensberg, such as the one in the Game Pass Shelter. The paintings represent a shamanic trance scene, a key work in understanding the Bushmen's beliefs.
