The Isle of Thanet is a small coastal district of Kent, near Canterbury. Its seaside resorts include Whitstable, famous for its oysters; Herne Bay with its broad seafront; Reculver with its nature reserve; Margate with its sandy beaches, museum of contemporary art and amusement parks; Broadstairs with its pretty bay; and Ramsgate with its chalk cliffs.
