Rab Island's many beaches (with even a few sandy ones) and mild climate easily explain the hordes of tourists who descend upon it from spring. However, the island has more to offer than this hackneyed seaside resort image and the picturesque site of the island's capital and namesake is not to be missed. Expect cobbled medieval streets, palaces, and some of the most beautiful churches to be found along the Croatian coast.
