The Galleria Nazionale, housed in the attractive setting of the Palazzo della Pilotta, a charming blend of Classicism and modernity, houses the rich art collections of the Farnese, including a fine collection of medieval art and paintings by the Emilian, Tuscan and Venetian schools from the 15C and 16C. Highlights include works by Antonio Allegri (1489-1534), known as Correggio, and Francesco Mazzola (1503-40), known as Parmigianino, both from the Parma school, as well as The Head of a Woman by Leonardo da Vinci.
