La opinión de la Guía Michelin
The fire that devastated Notre-Dame de Paris on April 15, 2019, sparked a global outpouring of emotion and mobilized over 800 million euros in donations for its restoration. After five years hidden behind scaffolding, the cathedral reopened its doors on December 7, 2024, revealing an interior restored to its full splendor. Work will continue until 2030 on the exterior facades and the apse. The roof and the spire (96 m) have been magnificently reconstructed using 460 tonnes of lead and 1,200 oak trees for the framework. The statues of the 12 apostles—spared by the fire—once again stand at the base of the spire, including Saint Thomas, who bears the features of Viollet-le-Duc.
