Solidly anchored on a rocky outcrop, this castle was erected from the late 12C and has preserved its defences despite undergoing numerous transformations. For nearly two centuries, it was home to the Bern bailiffs. The apartments on the 1st floor depict the lifestyle of a bourgeois family. You will find a piano here that allegedly belonged to Chopin.
