Climbing up from Ollioules through the terraced fields and scrubland towards the top of Gros Cerveau, there is a view over the knoll of Six-Fours Fort, Toulon's Small Harbour, dominated by Mount Faron. The arid and winding Ollioules Gorge stretches out from the foot of the hill, and nearby is the village of Évenos with its interconnected houses.
