A good example of a successful transformation, of a disused industrial facility in the heart of town, Brandts Klædefabrik was for a long time one of Funen's most important textile factories. Its numerous buildings, the oldest of which date back to the early 20C, now house a cinema, cafés, restaurants, shops, art galleries and a museum.
