Housed in the old Mont-de-Piété, a stone's throw from the Arènes (amphitheatre), is the Musée des Cultures Taurines. All about bullfighting, it has more than 35 000 objects and documents, posters, costumes and tools in an area around a large patio. It takes an ethnographical and artistic approach to the theme of bullfighting, from the breeding and rearing of the Camargue bull to the development of street games (abrivados, bandidos) or amphitheatre games (the course camarguaise), to the introduction of Spanish bullfighting in the mid-19C.
