Built for the World Cup in 2006, this gigantic 66 000-seater football stadium has an impressive outer ring designed by the architects Herzog & de Meuron. Each of its 2 760 transparent air-filled panels can be lit up in different colours for each match: white for international matches, blue for the TSV 1860 Munich club, and red for Bayern Munich.
