Just west of downtown, Little Havana is one of Miami's liveliest and most exotic neighbourhoods. A heady ambience floats over Calle Ocho, the main street, where Spanish rings out, the main language of the community here. The street is lined with merchants' stalls and cafeterias, where locals drink tiny cups of Cuban coffee. It is most enjoyable to stroll about here during the day, and on the last Friday of the month, to attend the festivities organised in the evening.
