Zululand, inhabited mainly by the Zulu population, has maintained its culture despite the wars against the settlers. Visiting the sites of Mgungundlovu and Ondini, important places in the 19C Boer-Zulu and Anglo-Zulu Wars, gives you an excellent insight into this people and its traditions. Zululand has remained untamed and boasts numerous parks and reserves containing a wealth of wildlife and, above all, multiple ecosystems that are varied and well-preserved.
