Headquarters of the Nordmuseet, which includes a dozen museums throughout Narvik and the archipelago, it encompasses an ethnographical museum that presents a touching reconstruction of daily life in bygone days: classroom, general store, fishermen's lives, factories, craftsmen's workshops... Visitors can also see (opposite) the furnished manor house of the Frederiksen industrialist family.
