The square was once the ceremonial courtyard of the Palace of the Dukes of Arcos and houses the 18C town hall, with its simple stone portal. It is surrounded by remains of the castle, some of which are in a good state of preservation, others in ruin. The gate of the Alcazaba dates back to the 11C.
