Lou Lim Ieoc Garden and the house which it surrounds were once the property of a wealthy Chinese family. The garden was laid out in the 19C following the design of the well-known Suzhou Gardens and is now popular with local inhabitants who come here to chat and sing. The terrace, which overlooks a pond, is protected by a roof and adorned with red balustrades which are used as benches.
