One of Macao's emblematic streets, Rua da Felicidade was made famous in the West by the film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and was once lined with run-down bars and brothels. Although still the haunt of prostitutes, the street has since been tidied up and is now also famous for its pastry houses and cheap guesthouses, as well as small shops selling sugar cane, snakes for cooking and seafood restaurants.
