La opinión de la Guía Michelin
This basilica was built by the architect Bossan after the 1870 War on the wishes of Monsignor de Ginouilhac, archbishop of Lyon, who had vowed to build a church here if the enemy kept away from the city. The building is a curious mixture of Byzantine and medieval elements, with crenellated walls and machicolations flanked by octagonal towers. The lavish interior features an extravagant mix of mosaics, gilt work, carved wood and polychrome marble.
