A road across the promontory leads to the northernmost point of Asturias, the Peñas Lighthouse. Splendid views of the coast extend in both directions. Inside the lighthouse building, there is a Museum of Maritime Life exploring the role of lighthouses in sailors' lives, and the local natural history.
