M-Museum is built around the old courtyard of the Vander Kelen family mansion. It plays on the contrast between contemporary minimalism and the lavish ornamentation of a 19C town house. The rich and varied collections (artefacts and works of art from prehistory to the 20C) illustrate the past of the town and the region. The Flamboyant Gothic Brabantine sculptures and paintings (works by the Master of Flémalle and Albrecht Bouts) and the 19C collections are outstanding.
